EL84 (6BQ5)
The JJ EL84 is a noval base tube (nine pin) that has a gold plated control grid for improved fidelity and a plate dissipation of up to 12 watts. They are long lasting, strong and give increased power output and excellent headroom. These are available in matched pairs and quads. Link to spec.
6V6S
The JJ 6V6S is a very special tube. It has gold plated control grid for improved fidelity and special plate alloy improves that performance over any modern production 6V6, and many NOS. This tube has the ability to handle 450 plate volts in triode mode and 500 plate volts in pentode mode. I run these tubes in my THD Flexi-50 in Hi Power mode and turn everything on the amp up to full and these tubes not only sound great, but hold together beautifully. I would not recommend trying this with any other 6V6 on the market. This tube is used by the majority of american boutique amp makers in their 6V6 amps and is great in Deluxe Reverbs. Link to spec.
6L6GC
The 6L6GC features special plate alloy material and gold plated control grid, plate dissipation of up to 30 watts, and extra heavy gauge glass. These tubes have some of the punch of the KT88 and excel at warm, clean headroom. An excellent power tube in Mesa Boogie, Fender, Peavey and similar amps. Link to spec.
EL34/ E34L
Both tubes feature gold plated control grid for improved fidelity. The E34L has special plate alloy improves plate dissipation as compared to the standard EL34 resulting in stable performance at higher power levels and about 20% more headroom. The JJ EL34/ E34L have that awesome snarl so sought after in Marshall amps. They are very robust tubes and are rated to 800V on the plates so are great choices for the GUNN, Holden and Jansen amps made in New Zealand that often had extremely high plate voltage. Available also in blue and red glass when in stock. Link to spec.
7027A
Finally available in New Zealand, the JJ 7027A is a faithful reproduction of the classic tube that provided a distinctive sound to Fender Bassman and Jansen (NZ) amps. Available in matched pairs and quads. Link to spec.
KT77
One of the most successful tubes launched onto the market in the past 10 years the JJ KT77 has been greeted with acclaim from both guitarists and HiFi enthusiasts. JJ reverse engineered a NOS GEC KT77 to exactly match the performance of this classic tube. This is a hand aligned Beam power tube with the resulting stable performance at higher power levels. Available in pairs and quads, this is a drop in replacement for EL34's. This tube is specifically designed to be used in Ultra Linear mode of operation so it is a fantastic option if you have a HiFi amp that operates this way or if you are build your own. Link to spec.
KT88
This is my current favourite power tube in my Flexi-50 guitar amp. It has rich, sweet clean sound and can be EQed to produce wonderful overdriven sounds with character but no fizz. Hard to describe, but trust me this is a great sounding tube. It is also a very popular HiFi tube. It has more power, a wider frequency response and dynamic range than any other KT88/6550 on the market. It has gold plated control grid for improved fidelity. Specially designed heat dispersion wings on the plate add more performance, stability and allow plate dissipation up to 50 watts. Link to spec.
